Olivia’s Bio:
Olivia is one of the Shoreline Breakers Softball organizational leaders and is also the program’s pitching instructor. As a Haddam-Killingworth Alumni, Olivia spent a portion of her career pitching for her hometown and travel teams. She had the great privilege of being able to work with many pitching coaches across the state. In 2019, when the softball program for the Shoreline Breakers was established, Olivia was ready to pass on the knowledge she had learned through her own pitching journey to those that were starting their own. Since the start of her coaching career, Olivia has coached the John Winthrop Middle School team for two seasons and is now the current head coach at Valley Regional High school and 16U coach for Shoreline Breakers. Olivia is also a Complete Games certified hitting coach.
Olivia has built a coaching philosophy that focuses on the value in providing athletes with multiple means of instruction so athletes can feel it, see it, and hear it. Her multi-sensory approach and appreciation for easy-to-understand explanations allow athletes to be in full control of their learning experience while developing body movement awareness. Olivia focuses on ground force, arm whip, internal rotation, kinetic sequencing, and mental training in her pitching instruction. Pitching should be FUN and REWARDING!
